NOTICES
Notes from 22 June 2021
Martin stated the Walk against Ice on Sept 5th has been cancelled due to COVID and the campaign's national concept. A local representative from the organisation is now available to present in Schools.
Cost per student is $3. Mazenod College has been contacted with this information.

Helen updated members re Tribute Band Concert. Tania has been asked to assist with promotion and flyers. Proceeds from event will be either for a specific item  needed for Bushfire residents or for equipment to support Kalamunda Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.

Krys reminded members as per info in last weeks Bulletin to collect items for Starting Over Support Buckets of Love. Franziska suggested we could make a financial donation and she would buy the required items in Bunnings.

Peace Poles,  part of Rotary 100years in Australia and New Zealand. Info has now been sent to Clubs via District Weekly update.

Bushfire Appeal update:  $500 000 has been distributed to residents, Tool libraries set up and propagated plants taken to residents. We as a Club could assist with providing the needed plants once the species have been identified. Perhaps we could work with existing Community gardens. School gardens etc
Dee mentioned that $4500 was donated directly to Rotary from the Indian Community rather than Lord Mayor's Bushfire Appeal because of their high regard for Rotary. Suggestion was made re possible new members from this group.

Sheryl suggested we celebrate 100yrs Rotary and 21yrs Markets in October bringing together Hat Day and using the event as a promotion for membership

Projects:
Those identified from previous Project meeting were:  My Homes,  Fit Trail,  Black Cockatoos.
Rotaractors would be contacted to work with us on the selected Project.
Club needs to consider: which Project makes us all involved;  which excites us;
Black Cockatoos Project was the winner and more information will be given following Ric Dawsons presentation.Members asked to prepare questions regarding best ways forward. It also reflects the Environment section of Rotary Focus
It can engage the Community especially in our Kalamunda area and maybe attract members if Rotary is shown being passionate about local environment.
Following the Black Cockatoo presentation a Project Plan will be developed.
Bucket of Love content
The Club will be collecting any of the following items for STARTING OVER SUPPORT following last Tuesday's presentation by Penny Webb.
