Climate Change

John has worked in the energy industry for over 35 years, and is currently an Engineering Advisor for a major multinational resources company here in Perth.  He is also part of the Energy Transitions Team with the company, looking at ways to reduce emissions through improved efficiency and alternative technologies.

John is passionate about sustainability and renewable technologies, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies, and most of a Masters Degree in Renewable Energy from Murdoch University. He trained with the Climate Reality Project with Al Gore in 2019, in order to share the science of climate change, and encourage everyone to be more aware of their impact on the environment.

John and his wife Nicki have been Kalamunda residents since 2000, and are currently building a carbon neutral strawbale house in Bickley.  They are both active members of Transition Town Kalamunda.
