We were welcomed by President Elect Dan.

Kaye
  • My Homes – 18 built and set up in Victoria Park.  We are looking to help equip them.  Dan’s daughters’ schools will each have a gold coin day.  And the club will run a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle in Midland on Saturday 16 October.  We will need volunteers for the day.
  • Kaye distributed flyers for our Twilight Concert which is on Saturday 20 November from 6.00 – 9.00 pm.  It should be a great night with Beatles and ABBA music.  Tickets are $25 each from Nightingales Pharmacy and Lucky Charm Newsagency or click here  for online booking
Martin
  • Martin is negotiating to get to a school in Kalamunda.  He has one in Wanneroo to visit in October.  District is on side.  Looking at partnerships – visiting other Rotary clubs to kindle their interest.  The City of Kalamunda has been helpful.  Martin needs a hand with doing the admin on his computer – Helen will help.
  • Martin attended a recent Rotaract meeting.  They are down to 13 members but still very keen to be involved with Rotary.

Robyn
We will have a nocturnal visit to Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Friday 22 October.  It will be from 6.00 to 9.00 pm and will be a possum and pizza night.  Kanyana charge $20 a head ($15 for seniors) and the pizza will be another $15.

Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker Andrew gave a great talk on leisure, an area he has worked in for 30 years.  We need to plan for retirement – work out how we are going to use the rest of our lives.  We need to be serious about our leisure!
