Albert Hazebroek, 70, of Kalamunda died suddenly on the 8th July.
Rotary was a huge part of Albert’s life. He joined Kalamunda Rotary in 2006 and served as President in 2014.

Youth programs were Albert’s passion – he was Director of the Youth committee for several years and enthusiastically encouraged the club’s participation in the Youth Exchange and Youth Leadership Programs.
Albert volunteered to take on the huge task of organising and running the Club’s monthly Snagger Wagon fundraising commitment at the market. He did this for approximately ten years – raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for various projects. Always positive and efficient in his approach he had an unflappable demeanour. He also worked tirelessly on the Zig Zag Festival committee for 35 years. In recognition of his community work he was made a Paul Harris fellow.
Albert was a keen dancer and in between his other activities, kept fit by dancing a few times each week.
Energy and enthusiasm coupled with a Dutch sense of humour, he endeared himself to Kalamunda Rotary members..... He will be greatly missed.
